Introduction

Plant oil is the most important source for human consumption and also for industrial use. At present, increasing the oil content is the main breeding goal. Non coding RNAs (ncRNAs) are existed widely in plants, having an important regulatory function on the growth and development of plants, affecting cell differentiation and individual development. Therefore, OPP-ncRBase (ncRNA database for oil producing plants) aims to collect as many ncRNAs including miRNAs, lncRNAs and circRNAs as possible for 42 oil producing plants. Keeping this in mind, we not only collect ncRNAs from public database such as miRBase, miRNEST, PNRD, CANTATAdb PlantcircBase and the published literatures, but also identify ncRNAs from 1480 deep sequencing libraries of the 42 oil producing plants. The current release of the database holds 187446 entries. In addition, detailed information such as sequence information, secondary structure and target genes if available of each entry has been provided. Tools like blast and genome browser have also been integrated.
